Our forms are available for Microsoft Word (.doc) and Adobe Acrobat (.pdf). Many of our forms are also available in Rich Text (.rtf) format.
- Microsoft Word (.doc) This format is recommended for customers with Microsoft Word (part of the Microsoft Office suite) installed on their computer (Windows or Mac). Alternatively, this format can be opened on Windows PCs with WordPad, or on Macs with AppleWorks or TextEdit. The benefit of using Microsoft Word files is that you may open the form and edit it on your computer.
- Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) This format is compatible with both PCs and Macs. You need the free Acrobat Reader software to view these files (or the Preview Application included in Mac OS X). The benefit of Acrobat (.pdf) files is that they look and print identically on all computers. However, our Acrobat files are not editable. You may only print them.
- WordPerfect (.wpd) This format is recommended for customers who use the WordPerfect word processing software. Many law firms and academics favor WordPerfect because of advanced features such as macros and reveal codes. WordPerfect is primarily compatible with Windows PCs, although older versions of WordPerfect exist for MacOS and Linux. WordPerfect files can be opened and edited on your computer.
- Rich Text Format (.rtf) This is a simple text format that supports effects such as bold type. These files will open on any PC or Mac, but they are more difficult to format.
