What is a Contract Assignment?

By | January 22, 2008

In a contract each party agrees to certain responsibilities and benefits according to the terms of the agreement.  If allowed under the contract, an original party (“Assignor”) may choose to assign their responsibilities and benefits to a third party (“Assignee”).  A Contract Assignment may be helpful for parties when circumstances have significantly changed from the time they first entered into a contract.
