Statement of Partnership Authority Registration:
Filing is optional, but mandatory if partnership intends
to hold real estate in its name. Initial registration is
with the Secretary of State. A certified copy must also
be filed with the clerk of any county in which the partnership
owns real estate. (Section 7-64-303).

Registration of business name requirements: Colorado
does not have a statute for registration of assumed
names for sole proprietors, However, tradenames for
other business organization forms are registerable. The
applicant must register with the Secretary of State and
record a statement of trade name with the clerk in any
county in which real estate is held. (Section 7-71-101).
Business name registration fee: $8.00
Term of registration: None stated in statute.
Name requirements: The name cannot be the same as
or deceptively similar to any other registered name, or
the name of a dissolved corporation within 120 days
of dissolution. (Section 7-71-101).
Registration application requirements: The certificate
must state the name of the entity, the location of
the principal office, any other name the business is
transacted under, and the type of business transacted.
