Statement of Partnership Authority Registration:
Filing is optional, but mandatory if partnership intends
to hold real estate in its name. Initial registration is
with the Secretary of State. A certified copy must also
be filed with the clerk of any county in which the partnership
owns real estate. (Section 32.06.303).

Registration of business name requirements:
Registration is voluntary. Any person may register
a business name by filing an application with the
Commissioner of Corporations. Registration gives
the person the exclusive right to use the name. (Sections
10.35.040-10.35.070).
Business name registration fee: $25.00
Term of registration: Five years. (Section 10.35.070).
Name requirements: The intended name must not be
the same as or deceptively similar to a corporation or
other reserved or registered name and must not give
the impression that the business is incorporated. (Section
10.35.040).
Registration application requirements: The application
must be signed by the business owner(s) and contain
the owner’s name and address, the name and addresses
of the business, the name and address of each person
having an interest in the business, a statement that the
owner(s) is doing business, and a brief statement of the
nature of the business. (Section 10.35.050).
