Statement of Partnership Authority Registration:
Filing is optional, but mandatory if partnership intends
to hold real estate in its name. Initial registration is
with the Secretary of State. A certified copy must also
be filed with the clerk of any county in which the
partnership owns real estate.

Registration of business name requirements:
226 Partnership Registration is voluntary. Any person, partnership,
corporation, firm, association, society, foundation,
federation, or organization doing business in Arizona
may register the name of the business. (Section 44-
1460).
Business name registration fee: $10.00
Term of registration: Five years. (Section 44-
1460.02).
Name requirements: The name to be registered must
be distinguishable from other business names and not
misleading to the public. (Section 44-1460.1(b)).
Registration application requirements: The application
must state the name and address of the applicant,
the name to be registered, the nature of the
business, and the length of time the name has been
used. The applicant must sign the application. The
Secretary of State will issue a Certificate of Registration
upon compliance with the requirements. (Sections
