Statement of Partnership Authority Registration:
Filing is optional, but mandatory if partnership intends
to hold real estate in its name. Initial registration is
with the Secretary of State. A certified copy must also
be filed with the clerk of any county in which the partnership
owns real estate. (Section 54-1-303).

Registration of business name requirements: Registration
is mandatory. The applicant must register with
the Secretary of State. (Section 18-1140).
Business name registration fee: $25.00
Term of registration: None stated in statute.
Name requirements: The name must be distinguishable
from the registered name of other business
entities, and foreign business entities qualified to do
business in Oklahoma, or if either of the above existed
within the last three years the name is also barred.
The name must also be distinguishable from names
reserved with the Secretary of State. These restrictions
are avoidable with the written consent of a registered
business entity, or if the applicant establishes prior right
to a registered name. (Sections 18-1140, 1141).
Partnership Registration application requirements: The report
must include the trade name, the type of business,
and the address where the business will be conducted.
