Registration of business name requirements:
Registration is mandatory. The
applicant must register with the office
of the Clerk in the county or counties
where the business is or where the applicant
intends to conduct business.

Name requirements: The statute does
not set guidelines. However, the County
Clerk can reject an assumed name
that is likely to mislead the public or a
name that is similar to another business

name of the business, the real full name
